Microsoft Lawsuit Over Unfair Software Pricing
Microsoft is facing a huge lawsuit involving millions of citizens over allegedly misleading users regarding its Microsoft 365 platform.
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) claims that Microsoft advised users to stick to an auto-renewal deal, despite cheaper or more useful offers being available.
- Up to 2.7 million Microsoft 365 users could be affected.
- The affected users are of Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans.
Microsoft failed to offer appropriate advice to users after adding its Copilot AI platform into the 365 platform in Australia back in October 2024.
